Day 3: The Collective Unconscious

  This post is part of my 30-day journey reflecting on Carl Jung’s teachings and how they unfold in my own life. Each day, I explore a different aspect of the psyche, inner growth, and self-discovery through personal reflection. There’s a part of the mind I’ve only recently begun to notice — quiet, vast, and full of whispers that feel older than me. Jung called it the collective unconscious : a shared reservoir of memories, symbols, and patterns that connect all human beings. At first, it felt abstract, almost mystical. But the more I pause and observe, the more I see it in the patterns of my own life. Sometimes it appears in dreams — images that feel familiar even though I’ve never consciously experienced them. Other times, it shows up in books, movies, or even a fleeting feeling that I belong to something bigger than myself.
